Pathway Rejuvenation & Reconstruction
Damage to asphalt pathways occurs over time for a number of reasons, presenting a major risk to the public through personal injury and property damage. Betta Asphalt works with local government, commercial and residential clients across the Melbourne Metropolitan area and Macedon Ranges Shire to service existing pathway rejuvenation and reconstruction.
The Betta Asphalt Approach
Betta Asphalt takes a practical approach to pathway rejuvenation and reconstruction. We invest time from the outset to establish the most time and cost effective outcome:
• If no major sub base failures are identified, we implement crack filling and resurfacing to restore the path for continuing service
• If sub base failures are identified, full construction work is undertaken to stabilise the base
before asphalt is re-laid
Why does asphalt fail on pathways?
Asphalt pathways often fail and form hazards for the following reasons:
• Wear and tear from continual traffic
• Land movement leading to segregation and cracking over time, which can lead to larger failures with ingress of water into the sub base
